The short version

Dart detection runs on your phone. In local, solo and DartBot games, camera video doesn't leave your device.
In online matches, your board video and your voice (when you unmute) are streamed live to the other players in that match.
We store your account and game results so your stats, history and friends work across sessions.
Sharing game frames to improve detection is opt-in and off by default.
You can delete your account in the app at any time.

What we collect

Your account

When you sign up with email, Google or Apple we store your name, email, username and, if you add one, your profile photo. Your country is pre-filled from your phone's region setting and can be changed or cleared in your profile.

Your games

Scores, dart positions on the board, results and statistics, so we can show your averages, heat maps and match history and run online matches.

App and device information

App version, device model and platform, sent with requests so we can support your phone. A short technical summary of each finished leg (for example camera and detection performance) and crash reports help us find and fix problems.

Online presence

Whether you are online, so friends can see who is available to play.

Camera, microphone and video

The camera is used to detect darts on your board. Detection happens on your device. In online matches, live video of your board is shared with the other players in that match. You can switch off watching your opponent's video during your own turn. The microphone is only used for in-match voice chat, which starts muted.

Help improve DartsKEY (optional)

If you switch this setting on, DartsKEY uploads selected camera frames from your games, over Wi-Fi only, to help improve detection. The frames show the camera's view of your board. This setting is off by default, and switching it off stops uploads and deletes any frames still waiting on your phone.

Service providers

We use Google Firebase (sign-in, real-time game data, notifications and crash reporting), Agora (live video and voice in online matches), Apple and Google for sign-in and for subscription payments, and our own servers for accounts and game records. We don't use advertising or third-party analytics SDKs in the app.

Subscriptions

Payments are handled by the App Store and Google Play. We receive confirmation of your plan, not your card details.

Your choices

Delete your account: Settings → Delete Account removes your personal data (name, email, username and photo). Anonymised game and billing records are kept for accounting.
Reset your stats from Settings.
Notifications and microphone can be controlled in your phone's settings.
